📰Overview

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result on April 20, 2026. Students who appeared for the paper-based examination held between April 2 to April 8, 2026 can now check their results at jeemain.nta.nic.in. A total of 11.23 lakh students appeared for Session 2 this year.

📌 The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 result includes your subject-wise percentile score, All India Rank (AIR), total raw score, and your JEE Advanced 2026 eligibility status. Only the top 2.5 lakh students qualify for JEE Advanced.

The result scorecard will show performance across three subjects — Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Your best NTA score between Session 1 and Session 2 will be considered for merit and counselling purposes. JEE Advanced 2026 registration opens on April 23, 2026 at jeeadv.ac.in.

⚠️
Students who qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 must register between April 23 – May 2, 2026. Missing this window means losing your JEE Advanced seat even if you qualify.

FAQs — JEE Main 2026 Result
What is the difference between NTA Score and Marks?
NTA Score (Percentile Score) is NOT the same as raw marks. It represents the percentage of students who scored equal to or less than you. For example, a percentile of 95 means you scored more than 95% of all students. Raw marks are your actual marks out of 300.
Can I appear in JEE Advanced if I only appeared in Session 1?
Yes. JEE Advanced eligibility is based on the best NTA Score across both sessions. If you only appeared in Session 1 and your rank is in top 2.5 lakh, you are eligible regardless of whether you appeared in Session 2.
I forgot my application number — how do I check result?
Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in → click "Forgot Application Number" → enter your registered email or mobile number and date of birth. Your application number will be sent to your registered email/SMS. You can also find it on your admit card PDF.
How many attempts are allowed in JEE Main total?
A candidate can attempt JEE Main a maximum of 6 times — 3 consecutive years × 2 sessions per year. Each session counts as one attempt.
What should I do after JEE Advanced qualification?
Register for JEE Advanced 2026 at jeeadv.ac.in between April 23 – May 2, 2026. Pay the registration fee. Download admit card from May 11. Appear for the exam on May 17, 2026. After result, JoSAA counselling will begin for IIT seat allotment.
