BITSAT 2026 – Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Cutoff, Syllabus & Counselling

BITSAT 2026 (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is a national-level computer-based entrance exam conducted by BITS Pilani for admission to B.E., B.Pharm, and M.Sc. (Hons.) Dual Degree programmes at its three campuses — Pilani (Rajasthan), Goa, and Hyderabad. BITS Pilani does not accept JEE Main or JEE Advanced scores; BITSAT is the only admission route.

BITSAT 2026 eligibility requires Class 12 pass with PCM, minimum 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and at least 60% marks in each subject individually. Importantly, BITS Pilani revised its 2026 criteria — repeaters who retook Class 12 subjects are no longer eligible. Only students appearing in Class 12 for the first time in 2025 or 2026 can apply.

BITSAT 2026 was conducted in two sessions — Session 1 on April 15–16 and Session 2 on May 25–27, 2026. Both results are declared. Iteration 1 seat allotment is expected on June 20, 2026. BITSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria — Revised by BITS Pilani

BITS Pilani has revised the BITSAT 2026 eligibility criteria. The most critical change: repeaters are no longer eligible. Only first-time Class 12 candidates from 2025 or 2026 can apply. Check all criteria below before filling the application form.

Educational Qualification

Candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised central or state board. The qualifying exam must have been passed in 2025 or 2026.

Mandatory Subjects — Class 12

Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology along with one language and one additional subject in Class 12. All five subjects are mandatory.

Minimum Marks — Aggregate (PCM/PCB)

Minimum 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology is required. Additionally, candidates must have scored at least 60% in each subject individually.

For 2026 onwards, only students who appeared in their qualifying Class 12 examination for the first time in 2025 or 2026 are eligible. Failure to meet eligibility may result in disqualification even after seat allotment.
