Clear the Qualifying Entrance Exam

A valid JEE Main 2026 score is required for B.Tech. NATA for B.Arch, CUET UG (with AKTU chosen at application stage) for select courses. Without a valid scorecard, UPTAC registration cannot be completed.

Generate Your APAAR / ABC ID

APAAR ID (Academic Bank of Credits ID) is mandatory for UPTAC 2026 registration. Registration remains incomplete without it. Generate it before starting.

• Login to DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in)
• Navigate to Academic Bank of Credits and generate your ID
• Save the APAAR ID number — it's needed during registration

UPTAC Portal Registration & Fee Payment

Register at uptac.samarth.edu.in from May 25 – June 15, 2026. This is a one-time process — registration will NOT be allowed in Round 2, 3 or 4.

• Enter JEE Main 2026 application number, name, mother's name, DOB, gender
• Fill personal and entrance exam details — no corrections allowed after submission
• Verify via OTP on registered mobile and email

Upload All Required Documents

Upload clear JPG/PDF scans during registration. Blurry or invalid documents cause verification delays.

• Class 10th & 12th Marksheets and Certificates
• JEE Main 2026 Scorecard and Admit Card
• Passport-size Photo and Signature (as per specifications)
• Aadhaar Card and APAAR/ABC ID Proof
• Category Certificate (OBC/SC/ST/EWS), Income Certificate, UP Domicile Certificate

Central Document Verification (May 28 – June 20)

UPTAC's Central Document Verification Team verifies all uploaded documents. On successful verification, an SMS and email confirmation is sent. Choice filling unlocks only after this step. If there is a mismatch, a correction window may be provided — check your email regularly.

Choice Filling — Select Colleges & Branches (From June 22)

The most critical step in the entire counselling process. Fill colleges and branches in strict priority order — order matters enormously for seat allotment. You can change choices any number of times before locking. If not locked manually before the deadline, the system auto-locks choices as they are. Always lock manually.

• Mix dream college, safe options, and backup colleges
• Fill the maximum number of valid choices — never fill just 1 or 2
• Research placement records and infrastructure before finalising order

Seat Allotment Result — Round 1 (June 27)

UPTAC allots seats based on three factors: JEE Main Rank, Category, and Choice Order / Priority. Round 1 result is declared on June 27, 2026 at uptac.samarth.edu.in. Log in with your credentials to view the allotted seat.

Willingness Options — Freeze / Float / Slide

After viewing your allotted seat, choose one willingness option. Freeze = accept permanently, no more upgrades. Float = keep the seat but participate in next round for potential upgrade. Slide = keep the college, upgrade branch within the same institute. Most students choose Float.

Pay Seat Confirmation Fee

Pay the seat acceptance fee online immediately after choosing your willingness option. Failure to pay = seat is cancelled and you are out of counselling for that round.

Rounds 2, 3 & 4 — July 2026

If you chose Float or Slide, you automatically participate in subsequent rounds. Each round re-runs the allotment based on updated vacancies and your retained choice order. You must pay the seat fee again in each round you get a new allotment. Withdrawal is permitted in Rounds 2, 3, and 4 (with partial refund).

Internal Sliding Round (July 14–16 · Result July 18)

AKTU conducts an internal sliding round specifically for candidates who have already reported physically to their allotted institute. This allows a branch upgrade within the same college. Allotment result for this round is declared on July 18, 2026, after which vacant seats for special rounds are published.

Special Rounds 1 & 2 — August 2026

Two special rounds are conducted for remaining vacant seats, open to JEE Main 2026, CUET UG 2026, and Class 12 merit candidates. These rounds are also open to candidates from other states. Candidates with lower ranks often find quality colleges available here.

Physical Reporting at Allotted College

Once your seat is finalised, physically report to the allotted institute on the date specified in the UPTAC schedule. Carry all original documents for in-person verification. Pay the remaining college fees as per institute norms. Non-reporting cancels your admission.
